We found the better fish today in 18'-19' of water. Lake Fork Tackle Baby Shad in anything chartreuse was the ticket again today. If you don't have any, you really need to try them. If you can't find any, let me know and I'll try to get you some samples. As you can see, the fish responded well. They we're swallowing these jigs! \ \

Awesome crappie!!! My Son and I have had a good number of days on Lake Waco!!! He likes to bass fish mostly, but Whites, Crappie, and Cats aren't off of the menu though! My faves are Whites/Hybrids and Crappie! Chomping at the bit to get out on the lake, but boat needs water pump and a few other small things before we get her out. Maybe by next weekend! Any good spots to start trying first, ya want to tell us about??? I see on the TPWD site they have put out bamboo attractors around Airport Park area, have ya tried those out yet? Last few years spring/eairly summer we had pretty good catch rates in the lake shore cove around the old sunken dam, also going either up the North Bosque or down the South/Middle Bosque have been good this time of year for Whites! Anyway GREAT JOB on the Slabs, and let us know about future catches!!! Keep Your Hook Wet!!! Drew P.S. Thanks for the info on the Lake Fork Shad!!!

Thanks. I'm a bass fisherman, too. I just love helping kids catch fish and with the magic Shad, it's that much easier. I haven't fished the TPWD attractors. We always stay on the main lake around the speegleville area. I'm not going out this weekend. I'm trying to avoid the crowd. I'll go out next Friday, more than likely. Drop me a line sometime, and if our schedules line up, maybe we can get together on the lake and I can show you a few hot spots.

The Bosque between the dam and the Brazos has been treating me good for crappie this year. Not huge ones, but I've limited with all in the 12" neighborhood. Somedays its on full blast, others only one or two bites (bass an crappie). I haven't quite figured out the pattern yet but it's fun either way.
