I have a qestion for all you master...baiters. Water has about 8ft visibility, VERY mossy in areas, and stocked with blue gill that the bass feed on. What should i use that resembles the blue gill without getting 5 pounds of moss every cast?

Spinnerbait or just throw a weightless senko. It's like pond magic.

Or just let me come fish it and I'll figure it out.

maybe try Bluegill colored swimbait on Owner Weighted Beast hook. Swimbait works in clear and that type of hook on swimbait should minimize moss.

bluegill colored 3/4 oz jig with a biffle bug type yellow/orange trailer punched through the moss gaps, or a soft hollow bodied weed less swim bait in the same blue gill pattern slow rolling it through the thickest alleys and edges of the moss.

Is the moss matted up solid on top? If so, search "frogs" on the forum here, lots of guys have some great info on hollow body frogs.

Are you fishing from the bank or a boat? If you have a boat you can stand up in, and the grass is matted, you probably need to invite me to come fish on a bright hot sunny day with no wind. grin

weightless weedless rigged fluke or senko will not only glide thru and over the grass, but it'll flat out catch fish.

I've been fishing a Private Pond also with similar water clarity and Flukes/Senkos work great! I also burn a Bluegill pattern Wake Bait with good results too.
