We have an issue with our skeeter loading. It always seems the bow roller is always above the nose so we have to lift the nose in order to get the boat to come up on to it. It does not seem like the hitch is too high. Any suggestions? I feel like the bunks are not lifting the boat enough to get it up high enough to get on to the rollers. Are we getting the trailer in to deep? It's impossible to power it up the trailer when the trailers are too high.

Sounds like your trailer is too deep. You will have to play with the depth you put the trailer in so you can load the boat.

Sounds like the trailer is too deep.
General rule:
Tandem - a few inches of water up on the front of the fender well
Single - leave about three inches of fender showing

The shorter the boat the tougher it is. I power load but on my ZX190 it is tough at times to get the nose up and over the bow roller without a lot of power. For me the shallower the ramp the better (to a point).
My buddy's ZX20 loads much easier.

All boat/trailer combinations are different, you just need to find the sweet spot in depth that your trailer is and needs to be so that you can duplicate it every time you load up. Start out with all but about 10 inches of the front of your bunks submerged when loading up and adjust from there, a little more out or a little more in as needed. Your going to want to be able to just bump your boat slightly with the big motor in order to hit your mark to the front chalk. It just takes a little practice in doing this a few times to get the feel of it. The only variable would be on steeper ramps where you may need to go a little deeper with the trailer than normal to make up for the slope, but as a general rule find your sweet spot and you'll be fine.

What boat and trailer do you have? My tzx190 is on a single axle trailer i leave 3-4 inches of fender showing above the water to load. Most of the time it takes very little effort to load.

By chance is this a carbed motor on your boat?

Trailer is too deep in the water.

something that will help power up the trailer is to back the trailer all the way in and wet the bunks, this makes it easier for the boat to slide.

What he said, it will also get the dust/sand off the bunks that accumulated while you were fishing and keep it from scratching the bottom of your boat.

But as for the bow roller, you're too deep.

With so many lakes low I am finding the ramps to be steeper and must adjust my depth accordingly.

Trailer is just to deep. Also, trim the motor up until it hits the tilt before you power it up. It will help get the nose up easily.

As others have said.. You're backing in too deep. Due to different grades of steepness on each ramp, The fender 2/3 inch rule doesn't always work.. But it's a general rule on most ramps. I back in until there's around a foot ( 12" ) of middle bunk boards showing out of the water. This method works on all ramps, regardless of steepness.

You'll need to drive the boat on the trailer until the bow eye touches the roller ( just don't get a running start smile ). Ease up, get centered, then punch lightly until it makes contact with the roller.

See this pic:

Hope this helps!

Your too deep as mentioned

While backing in to UNLOAD your boat watch the boat in your mirrors. As soon as the boat starts to float (about 2") Stop! That is where you need to be to UNLOAD and LOAD your boat. Look at your fenders and remember the water depth on them. That is where you need to be when taking out.

Now you should be able to free up time on the boat ramp for the next guy in line

Hope thats a little clearer

Another trick is to lightly spray the top of the carpeted bunks with WD40 before backing down to load. Found on most boats doing the front of the center bunks.

I just bought a brand new SL210 and couldn't get it to climb to roller trying depth changes at numerous ramps. I had to send in all the measurements of the bow stop and the bunk boards to the dealership. They contacted EZ Loader and determined that my boards needed to be 1 foot longer. I'm waiting for them to get them in and am really hoping that will help me out.

I've owned two older skeeters, a 99 and a 2000 202. Both where impossible to load on steep ramps by powering with motor. I braced the winch stand with a diagonal brace and replaced the winch with a two speed heavy duty one then replaced the nylon strap with a steel cable. Now I just get as close to the roller as I can and winch it the rest of the way.
