I have one, but my partner usually can't get it in time.

I fish by myself out of a little bass buster. For years I just lipped everything including a 12-2 and a 11-4. Then after losing 2 more that each would have been 10+, a net is now a permanent fixture in my little boat.

I like the net. I have broken rods fliping fish in. In a tourny, I will net all good fish because I feel I would lose some. I fish solo in tournies and use a net also

There is one in my boat at all times. Part of the reason for that is the built-in net storage in my Puma. I don't use it on everything I catch, but it is right there if I need it!

I hate using one but have one on the deck at all times.

Always. I've had way too many big bass in my net when the hook simply came out all by itself. I don't always use it, though.

Abso-frickin-lutely.
I fish alone at night a lot and I'm not taking chances with a big fish. I check my net as regularly as I check my drag.

Yes, THIS! Besides I bought one with interchangeable head to put on lure retriever which HAS paid for itself in retrieved lures! Always. I've had way too many big bass in my net when the hook simply came out all by itself. I don't always use it, though.

Carry it but selectively use it.

I use mine a lot when fishing anything with sets of treble hooks. I also use pliers to remove the treble hooks. Haven't had to make a trip to the ER in over 40 years of fishing and I would like to keep it that way.

I only use one on tournament days. My DD at Fork, my son lipped it for me. Epic!

Haven't caught anything of any size but fishing alone, I have had lots of fish 'flip off' at the boat. If/when I ever do get a good one I do NOT want to lose it at the boat, so yes I use a net. The new ones are rubber and my lures don't get tangled up in them. LOL, not to mention if you are no longer able to 'bend' as well as you used to, a telescoping pole and net sure does come in handy. Granted, takes up room in the boat but, again, I chose one that has interchangeable head to a lure retriever and/or a net. The retriever alone has saved me money. God Bless
