It starts but wont stay running for more then 10 seconds its getting fuel but iam not mechanic but its acting like its chokeing out and back firing

Ill effects of ethanol fuels now a days. Fuel lines and primer bulb breaking down, fuel filters stopping up from the debris, water in the fuel, fuel breaks down faster causing carburetor gumming that will require rebuilding the carbs. Will need to treat fuel in the future with seafoam, stay-bil, star-tron or many other good products out there. Might check with Classic Fiberglass there in Denton see if they can give you a diagnosis as they do mechanical work also.

The cap needs to be vented. That's it, buy a vented cap,
