McGee Creek? Pretty lake with nice facilities. Good fishing if you don't mind buying a license.

What's the lake level like at Texoma ? 8-1/2 low. Spillway ramp is closed. Not sure about Grandpappy. I had a reservation at Preston Bend and cancelled because of the low water. I have camped up there evey year in May and this is the first time I have cancelled for low water. Lake is OK at this level on the lower end just be real careful up around Platters or up in the rivers or creeks. Looked like the dam ramp was open last weekend. We were camped at west burns run and there was no shortage of boats on the lake. Really not a problem with the low levels.

If your looking for beauty stretch it out another hour and go to Broken Bow, it is hands down prettier than PK and it has fish in it.

Caddo!
Absolutely beaitiful. Tons of boat roads to run.
Marked roads are good to go, but idle one your out of the boat roads. Go to the highway 43 bridge ramp and go down river.
A map and / or GPS is a must though. Eat at Big Pines or River Bend. They are both on the river and have boat access. Big Pines has some cold cold beer too!

I know that if you did not have 18 lbs in several tourneys you did not get a check. PK is great lake but the fishing sucks 10 months out of the year, there are not that many fish in the lake, the algae kept killing them. PK has bluffs and a bunch of dried up salt cedars around it, now the other scenery around the lake is mighty fine.

A good excuse is all I need to get out to Cypress Springs... Spend a few hours night fishing out there as well.. The topwater bite this time of year can be off the charts as well. Feel free to give me a call if you need any tips if you decide to go that route.
