isnt that one of the mussell lakes? If so, it costs 150 bucks to clean your boat to make it legal to go to another lake.

according to parks and wildlife it has to be steamed out, motor and all, then sit for a week before it can go in another mussell free lake. Lakeguide had a post on here a while back with the rules they had and there was quite a bit to it. But if people dont do it, all the laskes will be mussell bound.
thats why I never take my boat to a mussell lake, I cant afford the cleaning fee.

guys, I like to catfish as much as anyone but if they have rules in place so as not to spread the mussells then I'm gonna try to go by the rules. I dont want every lake infested, do you?
From what I'm told the boat and motor has to be steamed out and then sit for a week before going to a non infested lake and the cost is 150 dollars.
Since Salsa at twok posted it I'm pretty sure he knows what he's talking about

I will definitely be at the tournament but I have never heard anything about steaming out. I do fish other lakes than belton seldomly & have spoken to game wardens about it. You MUST drain all water from your boat & motor & allow to dry. The drying time is what could be questionable. I would hope that a post like this would not cause someone to enter the tournament. It is for a good cause & we need more like it in the central Texas area
