Any advice on Lavon Crappies from the bank, planning to go this Friday evening probably around 6. Any advice on spots from the bank, even if it means walking a little bit to get to the spot will be appreciated
If it's legal ain't no way in hell it's catch and release, it's CATCH & GREASE, except ROUGH (TRASH) Fish

power plant...all along the side there near where they let the water run out...take waders if you have them to get out a little further...but you can catch'em right there. Good luck. It's fun there.

Little Ridge Park is where you want to go thats where the power plant is. Try the inlet for the power plant which is on your left when you pass the boat ramp parking. I have heard minnows work best at night and jigs are working in the daytime. Good luck.

I think the park closes at night so if you go at night might want park outside the gate. I'm not sure what time is best to go someone else may let you know.

People park in and fish in the park all night long almost every night and I've never seen anybody be bothered by the popo. There is a sign saying it closes at dark, but nobody cares. What they do care about is walking in the restricted area at the power plant water outlet. Follow the warning signs strictly over there. They will sure enough get you for that. Good luck....one of my favorite places to fish on the lake.

Thanks Davy. I will try this. This site has been such a great resource since I've moved here. I hit Ray Hubbard on Thursday night, and a local pond in Richardson both today and yesterday. Skunked at RH, but the pond was producing... and I saw a couple of hogs in the water so I was determined.. but I didn't catch anything picture worthy myself. I will try lavon this week if I can get out of work in time. Thanks! And oh yeah....welcome to the forum dandeeks. It's a great site. I like it so much I've been an active participant since 2003. clear lake park, just north of the ramp in the trees at the end of the cove, cast out and hold on. I always see guys catch them there when I'm targeting other fish, usually looks like they are holding in the trees at 6-8ft in 10 FOW would be my guess, haven't been at that spot in a boat though so *shrug*
