My wife pulled in this big one. Caught several but this may have been the only one above 1/2 lbs.

Nice Fish and a super job to your wife! cheers The Raven lake record Bluegill is .51 lbs. That Bluegill your wife caught looks like a three quarter pound to one pound fish. Also if the fish was 10" or longer it could be a catch&release record. Either way a super fish with some super times on the water is what it is all about. Again "Super" fish. fish

Side Note: Fish somewhat resembles a Blue Gill. However if it was a Redear "Shell Cracker" than it could have been easily a record for Lake Raven. No Redear record for Raven. hmmm

Thats a chinquapin, red ear blugill cross, nice fish. Should be some big redears in the area if you catch one of those.

whatever the species ...I lean towards regular ole bedded up spring bluegill myself
it is still an awesome big ole panfish ....
I am with chuck ...either she is a tiny woman
or that fish is likely a bit over a 1/2 pound
anyway
K A B O O M ....nice fish thumb
