I heard that the marinas on the East side of the lake are a bit deeper but mainly fish west of Little Mineral. Any worries on keeping a 24' boat at Highport or the like?

I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

Try calling Highport.. they will know the answer concerning their slip depths.

I don't think the depth is an issue at Highport.

I really enjoy the slip we have at Eisenhower, but most of the slips are pretty old. Service is top notch and the traffic is much less than areas like Grandpappy's or Highport.

Honestly, with the number of people that frequent Highport and the lake patrol they invite I try to stay as far away as possible. They do have the best entertainment on the lake if your into that sort of thing. I go to the lake to relax so I prefer to stay away from the big crowds. Plus the cliffs around butterfly cove make for the best swimming holes in the dead heat of summer. In August the water around the islands will be like swimming in bath water.
