I still fish frequently with my FIL in a 1974 Ranger with the original 70 HP Johnson. We were out in it it's 40th birthday. The hull is orange and it's not coincidental that he is a big UT fan.

Here's the only photo I could find from when I finished the gel coat restore on my old girl. I sure hope Mudd is taking good care of her now...

Here is my 1989 Ranger 360V. Everything is still original and solid as can be. They were built like tanks back then. I love and probably won't get rid of it for a long time until I can afford one of the new 19 ft aluminum Rangers.

it is hard to find much on the model by model history of Ranger boats. Wiki has detailed pages for EVERYTHING, but for some reason not much on Ranger. Several articles and history on Forest Wood, factory, etc. Just not much on each model.

I have an 87 360 that I've fished out of for twenty years, I love my old boat, and get alot of compliments on its condition.

Beautiful boats guys. They've rethought, redesigned, and remarketed bass boats over the years and improved them by about 10% .... with about a 300% increase in cost
Now Entering the Black Forest Caution: -camouflage cottonmouths -stumps are perpetually 4" under surface -unforecast windstorms -gators that act funny -game wardens off their meds Have a Nice Day

Ordered my 374 Ranger in 1992 and still going strong after 22 years and being pulled all over the country and Mexico. Triggers a veteran of countless encounters and many victories with a few battle scares. Trigger just pulled off a win at Texas State Tourny team champions

I liked my old 1990 Skeeter so much I decided to refurbish it. Wet sand, compound, polish, wax, new carpet with PU foam pad at bow, reupholstered, new logos, new bow step pad, new HDS-8 at helm, new HDS-9 Touch at bow, new batteries, and new pumps.
I get complements on it on almost every outing. The best part is it is paid for and it already knows how to fish!

Still kick myself for selling this one. It was a 1989 Ranger 350V w/Mercury XR4 150. Its hard to imagine that it was only 17'10" and not considered a small boat back then. Lots of trailer tires and batteries replaced over the years. It had an 18 gallon gas tank and that carb'ed motor would just about drink all of it if you ran a lot in a days worth of fishing. Ran into the low 60s and felt like you were going twice that fast in that little hull. If she is still running, she if spending her days fishing the waters or Sugar Lake in Mexico.

I had a 1992 Ranger 372 with a Johnson 150 Faststrike for 21 years. Garage kept the entire time. Great boat and will miss it. Good news, I can go see and use it at my parents!!
