Champion remains to have a loyal following of their ride and many used rigs that have been refurbished. The brand was merged into Stratos as Stratos Champion after the 2010 purchase of assets in Tennessee. They produced these in Arkansas again at the Ranger facility until 2013. Then they ended that brand from low sales potential and dormant volumes. The facility probably needed more volume to feasibly keep molds operational.

What are these " Champions boats" you speak of?

This is a long but very good read. I'm not a champion owner but I read it and this guy seems to have a bit more proof than your "5 friends". After reading some of the stories, I'd like to ride in one. I hope it's not against the rules to link to another forum but most members here are there also. It has some really good stories about how they built special boats that were tricked out just to beat Skeeters and you know Skeeter probably used the same tactics.

I'm just stating a fact,1 is dead, 1 runs a Ranger now, 2 run Skeeters now, 1 is out of bass fishing, the other was the Western rep for Champion and he was thrown out twice while giving demo rides! He is out of bass fishing also.....

Not true, you will get wet in a 20 ft Champion, I have one and have seen Mother Falcon and Fork get rough enough to get me and my partner wet!

Have you rode in a champion? I'm pretty sure I could throw you out of mine if I wanted to. Lol that 206 turns on a dime!

They do turn on a dime! Will you get wet with a heavy crosswind? Yes. But, you will in any brand. I'm a proud owner of a 206. This past December I was night fishing when the winds picked up to 30+. Me and my buddy got soaked!! All we could do was laugh the entire time on the way to the ramp. The crosswinds were causing 3 ft waves that were perpendicular to us in the lanes as we headed in. Champions are great boats and are a drier ride than most. I'm glad that there is a variety of brands out there for all of us to be able to choose from. Not everyone will like one brand for some reason and another brand for another reason... I hope to have my Champion for a long time, for ME, it's the perfect boat. To each their own.
