My nephew is looking to buy a Legend. He is looking at a 2013 alpha 211 and a 2013 211R. What is the difference between the two? Are they basically the same boat? Which would you recommend for rough water?

Thanks ,\ the bottom of the boat is the same...the R stands for raised deck...slightly higher deck and a different compartment design

The hull is changed a little and they went with a12" jackplate on the '14 211R. Those changes add about 5 mph.
