Hey guys, is there anything a person can apply to soft plastic lures to make them slick and shiny like they were when new? After a while if not kept perfectly sealed up they often get dirty and dry out. I know just washing them will help, but beyond that?

I resoak them in hot water with either garlic or with whatever scent I'm trying to accomplish. My last natch was zoom super hogs. So far so good

A little mineral oil in the bag.

Put a little glycerin in the bag, that was what mfr originally did. Can also add a little garlic to the liquid to spice it up----old time solution.

Might add just the right scent.

Can you buy glycerin at the drug store? You know, to be honest with you, I can't stand the smell of garlic flavored scents. Don't like to get it on my hands even though I'm sure it enhances the bite (I guess.) Which kind of ruins it for me with a lot of the color spikes etc.

I still have a lot of bulk worms and lizards from when I used to field test for Mister Twister back in the 70s and early 80s. I've rejuvinated lots of those old bulk worms that had taken a set in the bag by boiling them in water for 3-4 minutes, straightening them out by hand, and then putting them into zipper bags with mineral oil, anise, and glycerine. Works for old-fashioned me.

Mister Twister or Crme as the best worm ever? Man that's a tough one. There was something about those old Creme worms back in the day. They just seemed to always work. I liked the worms that were rigged up with 2 hooks and a little spinner on the front. I'm not really sure why I stopped using that lure. I think it is still made. I believe I'll find me a few and use them.
