Awesome deal! Cabela's always goes above and beyond to help out. Was at the Fort Worth location last week for their grand re-opening. Enjoyed a great lunch of roasted pig and visited with Melissa Barry and Steve Andognini (store manager). The inside of the store has had a "face lift". Looks great!

Great thing they are doing, but as usual teachers are left out. On average in Tx teachers make less money than any of the above mentioned and have more invested in education.

You have a good point, but the average young/new militaty person does not make that much, believe me I know, I was there once. I just posted it because I thought it was good information for saving a few dollars and their way of saying thank you.

Oh I agree with you. I am glad they at least recognize some folks. I posted in hopes that one day teachers will be recognized with the rest of the civil servants. I dont know what all entry level military makes, just what many I know make. Entry level teachers make a minimum of 28K with most around 31K and that is after at least 4 years of college that cost tons these days.

You make a good point, and I wish the system would see that also. When I retired from the military I wanted to become a teacher but could not make it off the salary for the size of my family. I too hope that one day teachers will be recognized with the rest of the civil servants, they deserve it.

I agree NitroUSAF and Javelin, and thanks for your service!! Also surprised at the pay of EMTs and Paramedics. Not near enough for what they do.

I agree! Teachers deserve A LOT more recognition! They make huge sacrifices and are poorly compensated and rarely recognized. That being said, emergency service men/women and military members make a different kind of sacrifice. Teachers deserve just as much recognition for what they do and the impact they have on our community and country but let's be careful not to forget that police, firefighters, medics, and military willingly risk their health, serious injury, and death on a pretty regular basis...a different kind of sacrifice. Just my 2 cents but teachers definitely deserve more for what they do

I think the 8 weeks off in the summer is reward enough for teachers. Kidding. My wife is a teacher.
Fishing was invented so man wouldn't get bored between turkey and dove.

OK we are all on the same page, I just wanted to pass on a good deal to those who qualify, not start a debate. Go to Cabelas and spend some money and then enjoy the day on the lake.
