2 years into worm fishing I think a worm is a worm is a worm. The zooms are cheap. The black grape ribbontail has pulled good bass but then I start getting skunked this year, even with old faithful ribbontail. Watching Bill Wilcox throwing a "Senko" that's not really a Senko I dig deeper. I never did REALLY well with Senko style worms. Of course these are Gander Mountain variety or another brand is 3 inchers I have caught fish on but thought it was just the smaller size. Reading around I determined the favorite colors of guys are watermelon/red fleck, and green pumpkin. Some forum posts and Bill claimed the BPS worms work quite well even not being the "original" Senko. Headed to BPS and picked up the colors, skeptical the watermelon green would even be visible in my muddy green water of my neighborhood. Hell I have some pumpkinseed trick worms from GM that never caught me a dang thing in our lakes. Low and behold the watermelon red fleck...I miss one pig that swam into a metal culvert and frayed the line till it broke. Then I pulled this 5.5lb guy out 10 minutes later fishing the same cove. I honestly can see the difference in action in these worms other than the ones currently in my box. Thank you Bill and BPS for teaching me not all worms are the same!

Those BPS "senkos" are priced cheap and you get 20 in a pack. They are durable and very soft too! I like your thinking!

I still havent found anything that beats the original senko in pure action but I may have to give the BPS ones a try! Especially if they come 20 to a pack!

I caught my PB a 10.68 at Caddo on a watermelon with black flake BPS Stick-O. Senko's may be softer and fall slower but they are ALOT more expensive than the BPS version and the BPS version catch fish as well.

Well even the crappy big bite version will catch a fish every now and then. The yamamotos will catch a lot of fish. I may grab a pack. I've tried several brands. The only other brand that's as soft is strike king ocho but they're just as expensive.nice fish btw.

My second in line is the strike king zero, very durable. I've fished all day with 1 before.

I agree they are nowhere near the quality of a yammamoto but they do work.

BPS Stick-O are the only non Senko stick bait that I like and have confidence in other than Senko's.

being this time of year, you might put a small finishing nail in the end of the worm to make it fall a little faster...the bass are a little more aggressive and the faster falling bait tends to trigger more strikes this time of the year...
