What area of the lake is producing for both cats and reds, out of curiosity? I have been wanting to get out on Cali one day soon! I only have a kayak so covering water is tough, but I'm gonna go get me a big red!

hang out at the damn long enogh youll hook up Most of the kayakers fish from the kayak launch toward the wall and in front of the dam either trolling or drift fishing. It's been tough with the high winds and those from the north, but maybe using a drift sock will help.

i think were going to be in that south south east wind pattern from now on. get up against the damn and it will shield you pretty good. live bait dangled from a cork about 5 to 15 ft down works good off the damn, when the fish are there of course
