Bad snake! Viper type head. I believe he is poisonous.

Looks like a loooong snake to me... We called em rat snakes or chicken snakes. They eat stuff that people don't like hanging around the house

Good Snake- I called them Pine Snakes growing up. Harmless rodent exterminators.

Any snake = dead snake! I'm not taking any chances!
Anything that doesn't have legs and can move faster than me isn't right!!!!!

Appears to be a rat snake, a good snake to have around. If the head is rounded it's harmless, if the head is diamond shape, do this bolt

Reading some of the less than bright posts above, I see that some people would rather have mouse poo in their corn flakes and just call it raisin bran. I'd rather have a snake in the yard than a mouse in the house.

Rat snake. I had a 6 footer in my garage a few months ago. I grabbed him & let him loose in the woods that back up to my garage. About an hour later, I saw another one in my garage. I'm not sure if it was the same one, so I just left him alone. I haven't seen another one since then. They WILL keep the mice away.
Good Luck,
Mike

Have a Blessed Day,
Mike

Yes, without the rat snakes we would be overrun by rodents. They have an important job. Leave them alone and let them do it.
