I have a cabin there and will be there during that time, maybe I can help you with places and baits for that time of year

I will be there that same time, will split time between fly fishing the river and the lake. Have some ideas for you as well. Tougher that time of year but the spots should be schooling and hitting topwaters, finesse and clear water baits / techniques work as well.

As many times as I've been there, I've never fished the lake. I've camped by it and it's beautiful! Good luck and watch out for the islands.

I'll be there on 5/20 and don't know anything about the lake as well. What area or locations would be best to try this time of year? And does anyone know an experienced guide?

They have bouys marking most of the shallow humps...some of the bouys have a fish symbol on them...those are generally good areas to fish...it's like fishing for dummies...welcome to Oklahoma.

In May, you still might have luck fishing rocky points (almost all points are rocky), including the southern end of the lake. See if you can get bit on shad or bluegill colored small crank baits, shakey head, weightless senkos. As it starts to get hot, I have had better luck running pretty far up north. Dog walker top waters have seemed to work best for me first thing, and then soft plastics or suspending baits. A 4 inch curly tail grub on a 1/4 oz jig head slow rolled, or the new sinking prop baits (spy baits) are worth trying in June, as you get a lot of suspended bass down 12 to 18 feet at BB in the summer -- most of the guides have traditionally tried to slow roll grubs to get them. Vertical drop shotting will get them if they are 15 to 20 feet down, using electronics to find them
