Good post. I live 5 minutes from White Rock Lake and have taken my kayak up the creek many times. Fished both flies and spinners (lots of overhang in some places). The lake has a bad reputation but mostly by people that have never been on it. It's not too bad for a "come-home-from-work-and-fish" spot. I can load, unload and launch in less than 20 minutes. When the sun doesn't set until nearly 8:30, there's still plenty of time for a couple of hours of fishing in the evening.

We may not have mountain streams around here but Dallas still has plenty of fishing right in town.

Trinity river at sandy lake road is also a great spot to put in.

fish on

This looks like a lot of fun! Some of the best times fishing I've had have been in little city creeks, they certainly don't get pressured! Great pics!

Lone Star thanks for the walk along. I grew up in North Tulsa a long time ago (50 yrs ago). We found little streams to fish in similar settings. Thanks!

Nice pics! Especially of the Modelo Chelada, mmmm. Not sure where your creek is at but if your near I35 and Walnut hill go east on Walnut Hill and pull into Mariscos 2000. A little Mexican seafood restaurant with some awesome Cheladas with whatever beer you like. Foods good too.

That's some cool stuff

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?

Nice and the fish all have really beautiful colors.I used to do the same thing in my younger days but with spinning tackle from deer creek in Crowley to village creek in Burleson. Those small bodies of water are amazing the quantity of fish that they hold. Most of the time its better than on the lake. Thanks for posting.
