Hey guys, I don't intend to try and pry out anybody's secret spots, but if anybody knows of any common hotspots anywhere in east bay I'd really appreciate it. Just bought a kenner center console and intend to start tearin it up soon.

Any marsh points where there is current and look for shallow mullet! If not, look for other boats out on deeper shell.

Most of the major reefs in East Galveston are marked with white PVC poles and sometimes black flags. They are oyster leases.

The mouth of Oyster Bayou leading into Anahuac Refuge on a falling tide. Also, fish around the spoil Islands near the Intercoastal. Just remember that this bay can get very shallow during certain times of the year. Hire a guide and pick his brain about the area.

A couple of tips about navigating East bay...The north shoreline is very shallow so proceed with caution. Also the large reefs in the center of the bay are spread out over a pretty large area. When running east to west, it's best to run fairly close to the south shoreline keeping ALL the white PVC poles north of you. The East side of Seivers cut is pretty shallow.

For fishing you can do pretty well along the south shoreline at Seivers cut. Also fish hold near the bird island at the west end of East bay before you cut across the ship channel.
