Started out near Robertson Park shallow with several others early Saturday Morning. First cast with a Mepps - Dennis Christian style - netted a nice Hybrid. Several Sandies followed. Also threw some Moes Cocomoe minnows and jig heads with great success. Later checked several deeper spots and found a nice group of Hybies stacked near humps in 26 - 28 ft depths. The one in the pic was 6.5 lbs. Some Sandies mixed in. Waved a couple other boats in to enjoy the fun and met up with a group of four guys on a Wedding day bachelor party fishing outing. The fun was on as they reeled in a couple hybrids in no time. Later, forum member TAMPC in the Sea Fox was waved in and he also netted a nice Hybrid and several Sandies. Sunday daughter Carmen joined me and we caught nice Sandies in pretty much the same depths all day. Really looking forward to the tournament this Saturday. Carmen is ready we're hoping daughter Melissa can also join us as she returns home from her Freshman year of College at Hardin Simmons Univ. Both are pretty good at filling the boat with Magnum Sandies and are huge fans of the Mepps technique. See y'all Saturday!
