Which is the best? I've used Vanish but the time I used it, it would just fall off the spool and made a mess. I just put Sufix on it and it does the same thing. So far the best I've found is Trilene XL smooth casting. What is everyone else using? Am I putting the other line on wrong? I've tried laying the spool down on the ground label up reeling in some and checking for line twist then flipping the spool over if it was twisting.
Thanks

Sounds like you are putting it on right.
I wouldnt use vanish. Depending on what you are doing with it, i'd use either 6-12 ibs fluro (i like seaguar)or 20 or so ibs. braid (i like power pro or suffix 832) with a fluro leader.
line twist is easily mitigated with a swivel. If it gets out of hand, let it all out behind the boat in open water, and let it untwist itself and start over.

BPS Floro or Invisix. Make sure the line comes off the spool counterclockwise regardless of which side the label is on. I like KVD line treatment as well. I never have any problems.

Braid and a leader is the deal for spinning gear.
Straight PLine Flouroclear in ten pound test works for me on 2500ish size reels. Straight normal ten pound flourocarbon is tough, but some times it will work. Braid is the way to go. You can feel everything, it lasts forever, and you can use much stronger line (twenty or thirty pound braid versus eight or ten pound fluoro).

I'm a braid and leader guy for my texas rig and shakey head setup, but I use Invisx on my drop shot rod.. 8lb. I use 12lb Invisx for my leader on 30lb Stren Braid. Been a great combination.

I like copolymer Silver Thread AN 40. Casts a mile, very durable and I have never had a line twist...spool counterclockwise, close the bail manually, leave 1/8 inch on spool. Nothing over 6-8 lbs. http://www.silverthread.com/AN40.htm

fluro or other than braid backing so it doesn't spin out. leader knot to braid. leader knot to fluro.

I mostly use braid with a flouro-coated mono leader (P-line CX Premium).
In memory of my childhood friend Dan Sterling, who taught me at an early age how to catch bream with a hand-line, and who unknowingly hooked me on fishing for life.

To avoid all that, try using braid as your main line and just use a section of fluorocarbon or mono (whichever you prefer) as a leader...that's what I do!

Another vote for braid with a leader. I use Academy's brand 20 pound braid with an InvisX 12 pound leader on all of my bass fishing set ups with a spinning reel. Any thing that fishes on the bottom, this is my setup.
