It's been a good year so far. No clue how many bass we have caught this year, a bunch!!! Here are a few from the last couple of weeks. Pretty much fishing Thursday-Saturday. The spawn has been crazy, I'm still seeing big fish!! I think the next two weeks are going to get crazy good if the cold front's give us a break!!!! Next weekend will be hammered, but still worth coming out to fork!! A lot of 4 to 5 foot deep beds!! I've watched people fishing and their trolling right on top of the good bass! I'm very surprised how many people I have talked to have had bad days on fork. Fork is ON right now!!! Cameron the new shades are the best I have ever owned! Give Cameron a shout at Lake Fork Marina and he can help you out on the secret to seeing big fish!! Thanks for that hook up man!!! Fixing to get another pair for Shelly!!!

For sure Mark, thanks!! It took it's time to get rolling!! Crazy year! Normally my dock is a hot crappie area and there just not there yet!! Another reason I figure the bass fishing will just get better the next couple of weeks!!

Only odd thing is not seeing a ton of shad or fry yet. Lots of bass though.

It's crazy no shad!! I have no clue where they are? Still out deep? My place is in Little Mustang and this time of year normally shad are everywhere!! We were just talking about that this morning! I've seen a few out by the island on the main lake side but that's it, very few. Crazy year on fork for sure!! And the moss and slim in our area is soooooo bad!!! Nasty stuff!!!!

I agree. Its like the little suckers are all gone. I figured some would be firing up in the shad spawn. Starting to see lots of bream beds too so its always fun to fish around them as well. I bet the shad pull back up very soon.

Criglizard all my fish are coming from Little Mustang and Williams, Big Mustang has been slow for me but I figure it will be hot here the next two to three weeks! Lot's of good fish normally in Big Mustang!! And just about every fish I have caught is on a bait I make, Dog Hogg is what I call it. But shallow is the place to be, 6 foot or less.

Not quite what I meant! I mean, guys like you that whack them need to hang those pics in the living room and not invite everybody else. We have done very well last several weeks, but keep to myself because so many people read these posts and show up next weekend.

I prefer seeing the threads about how tough the lake is....scares those bent rod followers away!

You can tell people where to go and what to use but its no guarantee they will catch fish. Its Fork, there are no secrets and those fish are bipolar this year anyway.... rolfmao
Besides the point of the forum is to talk fishing and have a little fun. If everyone sat around being so serious or not talking fishing it would be dead here.

Right On Mark!! I have more fun watching friends and family catch than anything!! I don't mind anyone coming along with me! I have beat fork up this year from Birch to Little Caney to Running creek. My area within 3 creeks are as good as any. But businesses like LFM need folks talking it up and getting people coming out! With 27,000 plus acres of fishing there is always good areas to find to fish. I haven't posted on the site in a long time but wanted to share what fork was doing. And thank Cameron for the hook up on my new glasses! I'm a Oakley man but he changed me!! And I'm really glad he did! Deep spawners are hard to see!!! And you are so right on the bipolar fish! My buddy didn't boat a bass yesterday!!
