I am looking to take my daughter fishing for the first time this afternoon. Any help on a location she would be able to catch some on wax worms or any other possible recommended bait. Will be traveling to Allen shortly and willing to fish there also. Any help is greatly appreciated. Looking forward to seeing her face on her first catch and given her all the knowledge my Pops has given me through the years.

Pond at the senior center holds small bass and catfish. Might be worth trying.
Gone fishin', be back at dark-thirty!

Bethany lakes in allen, front pond (pond c) facing Bethany, in front of recreation center building, with fountain in it... take a bobber, small hooks, light line, and a jar of red worms to the little rock spillway and fish off to the far side form the street, to your left facing the pond.... and hold on. I take all my friends who aren't into fishing there when I want a companion while I get my bass hunting on. All catch and release (save for the trout in the back pond) but thick as thieves in submerged trees there and they feeding frenzy as fast as you can rehook and dip worms usually. Every time I go and see dad's fishing with there young sons and daughters I send them over there on my way out once I finish checking on the bass population

There's a pond off Keller Springs and Josey Ln that has lots of different species in it. I used to take my son there many years ago. It used to have a little platform with beams in the water. Drop your bait near there and you will be sure to catch some perch.
