I am happy to read that your country has good fishing available, and from the looks of your catches in the pictures, you know how to handle your fishing equipment quite well!

Those are some nice fish you caught there. I went to Germany last year to visit friends and family, and I can't wait to go back again. Beautiful country, nice people, and great beer (I'm not old enough to drink beer here though ).

@phillip: yes, the beer is great! we (me and my father) drank 2 or 3 different beers when we visited the US last february and i have to say, that's not to our taste, sorry but i like german more:).
@Robert Micheal Ryan: i will try to post a photo of a big wels(german name and looks like a catfish to me), catched in germany.

I, too, welcome you to the TFF. I was in the US Air Force stationed at Geilenkirchen Air Base (near Aachen/Koln) from 1981-1985. I was not fishing then but I shot International (Olympic style) trap in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and northern Italy. Phesant hunted, too. World class shotguns are made in Germany. Merkel and Kreighoff, to name just a couple.

Yes, our beer cannot compare to German. But, it gets the job done, especially if you do not have anything to compare it to.

My wife and children remember those years in Germany with great fondness. My sons best friend over there was named Karlos! We still have German and Dutch friends we email on a regular basis.
