Here's a pic of me showing my friend how to unhook a bass. He hooked it good. This was taken on the side of the road around Leakey TX. We ride sportbikes but also carry collasible rods with us so we can pull over to fish any puddle we can find. This little bass was caught right next to the road in a small creek.

COOL....fish all you can, now. Before you know it you will have to get a J-O-B and the fishing is cut way back.....wish I would have been told this when I was younger.

That's a good way to find some good fish by hitting all the little hole's while riding around.

Hey Wake,
Way too cool! Like jared said, fish/bike it all up while you're young. Fishing in your Alpinestars...now that, my friend, is a classic! Love it,

Wake,
Well, "old man", good for you! Your youthful appearance is truly a blessing... Sportbiking & fishing, how much better can it get - gotta love it! That's it - I need to get back into the bikes, ha.

Wakegirl, since you posted that all I can think about is roaming around the country with backpack, telescoping rod and reel, maybe even a float tube stuffed in a saddle bag on the bike. I'd probably try to find some good camping and fishing in wine country somewhere and read a lot of Jack Kerouac while I was at it.

I don't have a photo, but am well versed with motorcycles and flyfishing. In 1980 I bought a used BMW motorcycle and a new 4 piece 6 weight fly rod. I figure that by the time I sold that bike the fly rod had traveled over a hundred thousand miles with me on that bike. When you are headed thru the rockies toward Yellowstone and sick of riding on those 500 mile days, there is no better way to take a break from the road than standing in a river waving a stick.

Now that I am retired and just now have got a "new old bike" running I think it is time for another new fly rod and another trip on the bike to the Yellowstone area this summer. I think I will leave Yellowstone and ride over to Seattle as I have never run the coast on a bike from there down to San Diego on the way home to the Dallas area.

Have fun with this stuff.

Cool pics. We used to catch bass out of the Rio Grande in between laps on our motocross track.
