Back on my birthday on March 24th we had to reschedule our trip with Chris due to bad weather. It was meant to be and was worth the wait. All I can say is today was a major, major blessing. So I texted Chris yesterday to ask him what time he wanted, Terry Tolleson (Blue Tuna) and Mark Bovee (Silverside)and I to be at the Marina. Chris texted me back- 05:45AM. I texted Chris back to make sure that wasn't a typo. It wasn't. We got up at 3AM and made it up there on time. Chris was ready and waiting for us and we left straight away to go fish. Within five minutes we were hitting some fish on top water pencil poppers. There is no feeling in the world like that kind of fishing. Then we moved on and hit several more places and caught many more fish.

We had our limit and yet Chris kept putting us on fish. Then later on in the afternoon we hit the proverbial Mother Lode! We began to nail huge (8) to (10) pound stripers on A-Rigs. It was crazy! We released at least (40) nice fish! This was one special day. We all had a blast and got some much needed rest and relaxation. Chris is always on top his game and today was no different. Lake Texoma is just a special place and today was another example of that. Here are some photos of the cleaning table, myself, Terry and Mark. I just got a text from Mark and Terry on how great a day this was and it was. Thanks Chris. Book him people. The day was great- the fish the icing on the cake on a picture perfect day! P.S. in the second picture that is Terry hooked up behind me. We had several times today where we were all hooked up!

Nice going Hubbard gang. Chris will definitely work his butt off to put you on the fish.

Awsome guys I felt like I was there myself. Thanks for the reports through out the day. What a great B D gift for sure.

Frank's Message title "Took A Ride On The Chris Carey Express" made me think of Steppen Wolf's Magic Carpet Ride for some reason. Chris, what can I say, a great guide, entertaining, helpful in every way, explains the process of why we were fishing where we were. Chris, put us on the fish, went the extra mile, all of those tangible and intangible things you look for in a great guide. Whether fishing with Matt at Towak or Chris at Texoma you feel like you left it all on the water, no rock unturned, no energy left, just a full and satisfying day of fishing on a great lake. As always Mark and Frank were great buddies for the trip. Everybody caught fish. I think at one point Mark had put together a string of 7 casts with 7 fish in the boat. Big fish, little fish, in between fish, topwater, A Rigs, swim baits yada yada yada!

Just to give you an idea of how hard and aggressive these fish are, check out the shad that came of this fish's belly.

Great Report. Chris and his team are awesome .. just wish there were more landmarks in the background of your photos .. looks like I will have to get up super early tomorrow, so I can get my gps tracker on Chris's boat before he takes off.

Rob, we were on the water with Chris at early thirty. We arrived at the dock at 5:30 and went right to it! Top water bite was good.

Cool thanks , I am sure I will run into Chris tomorrow. I bet we will all be tossing to the islands outside mill creek at the community striper cut

I may go just east to the tree stumps first where all the kayakers had great luck last fall on topwater, but then move west.
