I haven't fished the canals in quite a while, but as long as you don't see any posted signs that prohibit bank fishing you should be good to go.

Wastingtime said he got in trouble for fishing lake carolyn one time but ive fished it about 200 times in the last couple years and never had anyone say anything to me. some of the people jogging around that live there actually know us by name now lol. we are very quite and courteous and take as very little of the walkway as we can also.

There are no Signs of NO Fishing at Jefferson Park. We even had a fishing tournament there from BassGrabbers.com. I've only fished this part of the canal I would like to try other parts I just need for someone to nice enough to point me the way.

I was working @161&114 last year and spent my lunch fishing through out Las Colinas and pretty much any where there was decent depth say 2' or more and duck weed I could catch them. This was during the summer. I used creature baits, frogs, and senkos. The stretch behind Red Hot & Blue was the most productive caught some 16".

I fished the canals today at lunch again, I hadn't been to my spot in a couple weeks, lots of weed growth, which is good. Threw a small buzzbait around the grass but not a bump. Started flipping a junebug tiny brush hog and hooked up right away. Caught four, biggest was 2 lbs.

I fished a small canal on Walnut Hill this morning on my way to work. I caught a few on a Heddon Torpedo and lost 4 on one of those new Lunkerhunt frogs, the 1/4 oz pocketfrog. The frog looks sweet but the hook is so small that when frog body pushes up there isn't much of a hook gap for a good hookset. These frogs are 9-10 bucks so beware if you are thinking of getting one.
