Nathan I'll gladly hit up the pond with you but I'll be banking it as I'm yak-less.. Althoiught I had been looking at yak really hard in recent weeks. Even thinking of a inflatable just to get started. Anyone I live only a few blocks from here so shoot me a pm anytime. This place has become my new go to. definitely will do.

Thanks for the tip Robbiebobbie92, that might just the thing I need till I can get a hobie mirage. I would love to get a hard yak, but I live in an apt and have no place to store it. The inflatable will fit in the trunk of my car as well as my storage closet.

Just so that everyone is aware... The bank does have towing enforced signs all around their parking lot. This makes me sad as this place was my best discovery since moving to texas, but i will not break the law just so i can enjoy my sport. This creek may be 100% legal to fish, however there isn't one single place to park that won't get you ticketed or towed.

I always parked on the west side of the Tennyson Lane Bridge and paddle my way to the other side until i get to the little waterfall spot then i can get to where the big fish are! I caught a 6lber out of there about a month back. There are some BIG ones in there. Lately all the moss has been growing so its hard to fish crankbaits now

no djing over here.. but you can definitely park at the bank right off preston and legacy and you can even travel further down to the very end by spring creek and park by all the vacant office buildings.. blend right in It is not I repeat not illegal to fish on this body of water.. IT IS HOWEVER illegal to fish on certain businesses private property that access this body of water.. I don't want to argue with anyone but I have questioned security, police, buildings, executives etc.. WE ARE GOOD!!! If the grass is mowed and taken care of to the T <-- this is private property folks

Same goes to you King Fisher... Sounds good man. As far as the legal/illegal aspect - for a long time I did not put this spot on my fishing map because I have a policy to not put private property on the map. However as the area has developed & changed, it's become pretty obvious that many businesses in the area don't have a problem with people parking in their lot and fishing on their property. BUT - if you have to cross private property to get to your fishing spot, it can still be a problem and you do run the risk of being asked to leave. If that happens, don't argue or question, simply apologize and do as you're asked. Trust me, it pays to be polite & respectful. I do agree with 422 - it it's mowed and landscaped to a T, you're fishing on private property. And, as previously stated, be careful where you park. That said, I've fished literally right in front of the bank building with no problems. But fish on the opposite bank and security will kick you out. Soooo, it depends. But, there is a lot of water to fish there, so a little trial & error is probably a good strategy, that & listening to the guys on this thread that have some experience fishing here. Last thing I'll say, and IMHO it goes for any spot you back fish - DON'T LEAVE TRASH! Surest way to ruin it for everyone is to be disrespectful of the area you fish. I carry trash bags with me for this reason & try to pick up other people's [censored], which sadly is evident here too. It's a really simple matter to take out what you bring in & better yet, take out more than what you bring in.

Thanks for all the info guys. I am happy to know that the bank parking lot is safe...I agree with everything that has been posted. Being respectful and picking up trash has always worked in my favor. I remember the first pond i was ever asked to leave from. Guy came out told me it was private property. I respectfully apologize, picked up my gear and the bag of trash i had been collecting. On my way out, the man asked if i had picked up the trash there. I told him yes and he responded by extending his hand, telling me his name, and that I was welcome to fish that pond anytime. He told me it the first time he ever seen anyone step on his property and actually pick up trash.

I carry a box of large, heavy-duty leaf bags in my truck for this purpose. There is nothing that irritates me more than when people leave this trash behind. . I live in Frisco SD, PM me sometime if you want to hit the bank.

Hi all, I spent a couple hours on this pond this morning without any luck. I'm still figuring out how to catch Texas pond bass though, so that probably explains why I didn't fare very well. I was fishing just behind the bank, and didn't make my way up towards the pillars, maybe next time. One other fisherman showed up just before I left, I hope he had better luck than I did

nineline, you may want to hit some ponds that you know you can catch some small bass first. Then work up to the bigger places. I had to do this for my wife. We started out fishing bethany lakes. Once she got used to how the bass hit different baits, I moved her up. Now all I hear is, "I wanna caught a Double Digit." My reply "So do I."
