I am heading down there this weekend to fish and have never been. My buddy just moved down there a month ago and we haven't tried the area out at all. I was hoping someone on here could point us in a direction to go catch some fish without having a boat. So we plan on sitting on the bank or doing some wading possibly. I'm not really particular as to how to fish just would like to get something to bite this weekend. HELP PLEASE !

There are to many places out that way. Bank fishing try pleasure island in port arthur, the north levee is a good place to catch specks reds and flounders, sheepshead.. I

That's good to hear. My buddy text me last night and said the guy at academy suggested pleasure island so we will probably head out that way. Hope we run into something.

Im planning on going to the surf in the morning to see whats biting out that way.

Got to the north levee on Pleasure island go all the way down to where the last pier and fish the rocks across the street they have a pipe there. If the water is coming out that pipe rig a popping cork and cast right there you will get specks and reds in bunches.
