There r two creeks still rocking the Sandies out.

One of the creeks still has a good number of hybrids left.

For the last three weeks, I switched over to crappie. Got bored of the Sandies.

Jig and bobber anywhere there is rip rap/ rocks. 1-2 ft.

Rip Rap: vertical fish 1-5 ft of water up in the rocks and fish slow covering every nook and cranny. Make sure your jig is off the bottom about 6 inches or so. Also jig and bobber on 4 lb line is deadly and u can cover lots of water a lot faster. Small twitches is all that's needed and sometimes just casting and letting it sit, will entice a strike. I start with the bobber 6 inches deep and cover the rocks in 1 ft of water. Then I make the bobber 1.5 deep. I keep making it deeper till I hit 5 ft. Then I move to the next spot 40 yards down the rocks. Some days you won't have to move and you can limit out your 25 crappie per day.

Minnows or jigs. Still have 3 weeks of the crappie spawn left. Maybe.

Go find some rocks and go get em.

For the guys and gals hitting the Sandies this year. Your really close to some rip rap already. Lots of crappie there spawning too.

Right now I'm using the boat to get to my spots and hopping out and walking the banks 50% of the time. Saves a ton of gas. After that trip u can drive to all the spots. Tomorrow it's to windy, to take the boat so foot power is the way to do it tomorrow. Some of the coves are wadable and wading in knee deep water to waist deep is required to catch them. Unless ur fishing the rocks. Rocks r not for the peeps with leg problems. Ur boulder hopping all day there.

Sandies only have about 2 weeks left in most creeks. Crappie taste better too.

Again: Sandies still limit able if u know where to go.

Planokeith caught 80 on the fly rod today.

Went to RC to my blue gill spot. Caught a nice cat first cast on a number 10 hook. Lol. Put a larger hook on and instantly caught a sun fish. Then another 30 greenies in 35 cast. Going looking for those crappie next.

Look up " Aquaponics! The self sustained revolution." on Face Book and like the page to learn how to use fish to grow anything at 4 times the rate with 90% less water than normal agriculture while eliminating all chemicals and producing fertilizer for in ground plants.
