this afternoon I decided to go explore a small urban stream I have a AMAC 3wt and had only fished with it a couple of times. I must have caught close to 20 fish today all on the same fly saw some really cool stuff and found some really great new fishing spots that are completely off the grid yet surrounded by highways and office buildings.
This was my fist fish of the day, and caught in a part of the stream that was maybe 10' wide and 10" deep I thought it had a cool pattern.

So it starts getting a little wider and deeper

here and I start catching some warmouth and greenies casting under the trees

Another species for the day...

At this point I had reached the end of the line on the stream or so I thought I decided to find away around and just keep walking for awhile to see what I could find. Also kinda cool to fish while the DART rail wizzed by I cant help but think that people must of been looking down and thinking what is this nut doing.

I found a small path and a way around I barely squeezed through.

I got around the corner and hadn't really been pay attention to where I was so it looked like I would walk under I-35...pristine fly fishing grounds!

I wasn't expecting much, I was pleasently suprized when it opened up to this nice big deep area of CLEAR water I casted to a couple of carp but they where in spawn mode I think, I caught several bass here and some more warmouth and I saw several spotted suckers or redhorse I couldn't get either to eat my fly was to big.

So I fished the above area for awhile but decided to keep walking, I couldn't really get down the stream the water was pretty deep here and it was so clear it was deceptive I stepped in a area I thought was may be knee deep and went in almost up to my waist so I started looking for away around and found this weird abandoned road.
Oh yes so apparently this area is the grounds of some weird arabic gang must have been 20 piers all marked up like this

I found a weird abandoned road with a bunch of industral stuff on it that had clearly just been left there not sure if it was from natural gas exploration or what but at the end of the road was another check dam and a huge deep pool but was unfishable because of how over grown it was and it was probably a 15' drop down to the water I could see bass and carp and I think a big Flathead catfish

So i went back there was a fork in the stream and I decided to take the other fork and see what I could find it was weird but this area while remote had been mowed I managed this guy
