Caught this one, and lost a much larger bass trying to land it...no really should have seen the one that got away.
I see that one every night while I sleep. Keeps pooping in my mouth, I wake up, nothing but fish poop. Only difference is it's a 2wt.
It's more than the catfish would do.

Great photos! I love the colors. This makes me want to go back to some of the small creaks I used to fish. I guess I thought I had "grown out of them". But, thanks to you, I can't wait to go back.

Awesome pictorial / trip report. Best I have seen in a very long time.
Coincidentally I have that same reel on a 3 wt!
Style points for the pre-mixed Michelada. J.

Any fly recommendations for the spotted suckers? They are taunting me on my stream. I tried a san juan worm and a few nymphs as well but no interest at all. Threw some dry as well. Most were hovering near the surface in a school, but every now and then several would break off and go hoover the bottom for awhile. I casted at all of them to no avail for over an hour. I really wanted to get one. Especially since the LMB were as reliable as over on a chartreuse clouser, was just too easy. I went 4 casts for 4 fish on LMB and probably caught 25 total in an hour and a half
