I had that happen to a guy in my boat a few years ago with a spinner bait. Fortunately the guy making the cast couldn't tie a good knot. The hook was almost past the barb right by his jugular vein. I was able to just to pull it out!

You never hook the guy standing next to you on the front deck. It's always the middle man that gets it! Hope everything "came out" well...
That's the truth. I pay damn close attention when I get down in the cockpit with someone still casting. But it does happen. . . Absolutely, especially when the dude up front is throwing a C Rig with about a 4 ft leader...
