 Question about putting Lowrance Elite-7 on Bow

I was thinking about getting a Lowrance Elite-7 HDI Fishfinder/Chartplotter put on the bow. Anyone have any problems with this unit? I have a Lowrance 520 right now but would like to have downscan.

I have this unit on the bow & console , It works just fine. I keep the bow on Down Scan,

Great unit. I had one before upgrading to a Touch.
Check, my mind isn't what it used to be but, I don't think the Elite has Ethernet, only NMEA 2000???? If so you probably won't be able to link your two units together, if that is even important to you.

Yes the elite-7 only has nmea 2000. I liked it before I got my touch now I am spoiled.

i have the elite 7 hdi net worked to my hds 10 now im thinking about putting hds 9 touch upfront, to answer your question the graph down scan is amazing but for following the built in map i want something more bigger screen or i wouldnt change graphs
