I looked at some other threads, but I still need a bit more info. I'm looking for a decent spinning rod to go with my Pflueger president 6940 reel. I plan to bank fish for bass and catfish with this setup. I would like a med to med-heavy action rod around 6'6"-7'. I'm not looking at spending a whole of money on the rod, preferably less than $60. I have the $40 MH Berkeley lightning rod on my baitcaster and am really happy with it so I'm looking for something that will perform about the same.

Any information is appreciated.

Everyone should believe in something; I believe Ill go fishing.

Check out the Shimano Stimula. I owned the older version of this rod which was the Shimano scimitar, which I liked but broke the tip off of it when I slid my driver seat back on it.
