I have a HDI elite 7 and transducer with the shield saver mounted on my minnkota 73lb thrust trolling motor and when I have the speed set 70 and higher its almost impossible to control since I put the shield saver on. If I try to turn to one side its like it just wants to keep tracking the same way and real hard to go in a straight line. has anyone else had this problem? Ive looked at it several times and it is as straight as it can be.

Check your steering cables. It might just be a coincidence. I've never had any issues at any speed.
