Hey guys help me out here please, Ive looked online but not finding a direct answer to my question. Im looking to book a trip in may on the scat cat, may 24th to be exact, thats going to be way early of the red snapper season right? if so thats fine ill make the best of it. Has the bee liner catch been reduced to 10 each per person now? Down from 20? Also would the dorado and black fin tuna and king fish be in close enough to have a chance at them? I dont get many opertunitys to make it down to that area much to know whats where and when. Thank you.

Don't expect much of a snapper season this year. They have talked of cutting it to 11 days or less (doubtful it would fall into your time frame even if we do get a snapper season this year). I have heard that beeliners are going to face cuts but no definite so far so you may luck out there. Dorado should be strong by then but they don't much target them on the headboats. Shoot me a PM with your info..maybe we can run out together sometime...I run a 28 ft Pursuit out of Port A.

Scat Cat on saturdays will be a bottom trip and yes you have the beeliner limit to work on. BUT< you need to check, I HEARD THAT there was a tag program that gave Scat Cat Red Snapper tags that could be used on the Scat Cat, with the two per person limit. Saturday could be one of those days if they do not run out of tags. Kingfish start to show around May, but do not count on it may be too early. But, the ling start showing up in May and sometimes you can get lucky there. Anytime you get out on the water it is great! hope you have a great trip...
