He had been working the trolling motor on my boat most of the day because he knew how he wanted us to setup on the spots we were going to fish. We were doing well both on the front deck and split front/back. At this time he was behind me somewhere in the cockpit, retying I think, and I went for a long cast directly in front of the boat where they had been schooling and hitting shad.

You never hook the guy standing next to you on the front deck. It's always the middle man that gets it! Hope everything "came out" well...

That's the truth. I pay damn close attention when I get down in the cockpit with someone still casting. But it does happen. . .

Dang, that's a bad place to be hooked! I have hooked myself in the side from a throw back and hooked my Bro in-law behind the ear on a cast. I hope things turn out well with this Hook-up.

The hook is out!...Thanks for all the calls and texts! It was an unfortunate situation, chit happens! Hats off to the ER team at the Winnsboro hospital, they had me in and out in 30 minutes. The Dr gave me a couple of shots to the face to numb it and then took a needle and ran it in the hole where it went in. The needle point went over the bard and he back it right out, pretty cool process...BTW David, Im keeping the hook and making necklace! Thanks guys!

I always keep a bottle of Jack on the boat for those situations.

I was at Stowaway Marina in my boat at the load/unload slips when a guy pulled in beside me. He had a big 3" crank bait stuck in his cheek. He had two shanks of both hooks dug in. Ouch!

Glad it's all done and in-n-out, Stax. I am sure I'll see the necklace quite a bit.
