Friday was a beautiful day to be on the water, most of them are. Sherri took off Fri so we headed to Cedar Creek for a little fun. Didn't get to the first spot till 8:10. Fish were gald to see us, left with 16, only 6 keepers. Since the wind was supposed to be blowing hard Sat, we headed out to the main lake to try our luck. Quit at 2pm when she said that's number 70, 28 keepers in the box. Sat, we got to the first spot at 6:40, left at 7:40 with 41 boated and about 15 keepers. Sat was fun day so we threw everything back. Quit at 11:40 with 80 fish boated and about 40 keepers. Fish were in 6-12 FOW. Couldn't get bit on deeper piles. Early morning, blue/chart 1/8oz from TNT Tackle was the ticket; after 10am they would kill that meller yeller slab bandit with a pink head. Fish size was much better Sat with plenty of 3/4 to 1 1/4 lb fish caught. Lots of females with eggs about ready to drop; still some spawning going on. Water temp 70-72.

Here's a couple off one pile Sat morning. Egg laden female 1.25 and partially spawned female 1.5.

Log cabin is usable and so is the public ramp at the Caney Creek bridge. Caney Creek ramp gettin a little shallow but OK.
