 Think I caught a coppernose today

It's been a while since I've seen one of these. Can anyone confirm this is a coppernose?

It's a Bluegill for sure.  As for being a copper nose it looks like one to me. I noticed the gold color around the mouth area and on it's forehead. Wished you had a little better picture.  Anyway that is a nice fat gill.  Good job on the catch.

It may not be pure strain coppernose but sure looks like it has some coppernose in it. Nice fish.

The picture was a quick shot with a cell phone. I wanted to get out on the lake today, but with the wind I settled for a park pond.

Yes, it's a coppernose. No way to know whether it's pure strain without genetic testing, but looks like it well could be.

yes I think coppernose as well looks pretty pure strain as well and a pretty girl fish for sure
