 Help Mercury Mechanics 2003 Merc 50hp continous warning beep

So my inlaw drops off his boat to me, hasn't run since 09 and barely would start then. I rebuilt the carbs, completely clogged.
I turn on the key (motor off) and get a constant warning buzzer. If I start it same thing, never changes. runs fine, perfect stream from
impeller, oil tank is 3/4 full. Now I unplug the oil tank sensor (blue wires) and warning buzzer stops. Plug it back in and get the warning
again any time the key is in the on position. Is it the sensor in the oil tank? Or is disconnecting the sensor disabling the complete warning system? The only other thing I noticed wrong (has nothing to do with the warning buzzer) the amp meter gauge does not work. While it is running it is charging at 13.8v and goes over 14v anytime rpm increases. One other thing. with sensor unplugged and not even half empty on oil
I get .006 ohm reading from the sensor inside the tank.

Warning sensor float in the oil tank. You have to buy the whole tank.
