Seems to have a lot more grass in it now than there was a few years ago. Tournament catches seem to be going up. And I've heard of good numbers of DD bass being caught this spring.
Not to mention that Bassmaster has Ray Bob in its "Top 50" now.
Is it my imagination or is Ray Roberts making a bit of a comeback?

Where did it go?? I've only fished it for 5 yrs and it's been awesome fishing!! Now it was better before the slot was lifted. So it must have gotten bad before I moved here.

Yeah, I know in many people's minds, it never went away.
Probably remember too many "glory days" at RR, especially early on.

It will skin the H-E-double-L out of your boat I know that. The big fish are in the thickest jungles on the lake.

April is the height of bass fishing action on Ray Roberts IMO, so recent reports may not be a good indicator. It can be pretty slow much of the year. I didn't know tournament results were trending upward. It is hot right now.

I'd have to say yes! I go to Falcon twice a year and usually catch at least an 8 pounder, but the past two years I've caught bigger ones (9-6, 9-2) up at Ray Bob. So I will be up there this Sun-Tues looking for another big bite.

IMO not nearly as good as it was before they killed the hydrilla. I am a numbers guy though and would rather catch 20-30 2-4 pounders than one 8-10 pounder any day! Once we get to the hot part of the year, IMO the UMF catches we have been seeing will be an accurate example of a normal fishing day for average Joe on Roberts. Lots of small fish with the occasional big dude mixed in.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Ray Roberts makes Cedar Creek look like Falcon in its prime. Not a fan...
