Can't seem to find any crappie on Roberts? Any ideas? I usually put in at Jordan park..
There are old pilots, and bold pilots, but no old/bold pilots!!!

Fish deep 12' to 16' and find the cedar trees in that depth and tip a small pink head jig with a minnow.

We did well last Sunday in four feet next to large trees. Jigs and minnows worked.

Caught 2 in about 14' last Saturday on minnows, drift fishing around point along with a few sandbass. It's been very difficult this year compared to past years due to lake level, and this never-ending winter. Most people I talk to say the crappie still haven't moved shallow yet.

I went last year with a vendor of mine that lives by Roberts. We fished the cedars with minnows. Drop it to the bottom and work it back up slowly and we caught our limit quickly. Add to boot the 4 pound cat I caught on a grub that floated on the top while I was getting a drink and it turned into about 10 pounds of fillets each.
Gotta catch em' all. I love to fish! 29 years fishing strong.

Caught 10 crappie today ranging from 11 to 14.5". Most came off of COE brush piles. Probably caught about 10 dinks and 10 small bass also. Rocky top jigs - white/char during the bright part of the day, black/char when sun was lower.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles
