Are there any bream/sunfish tournaments that I don't know about? A tournament series for sunnies sounds awesome.

Would be a neat idea though.

Oh I dunno, I am just wondering. Something like 5 best sunfish stringer or something could work? Just thought it'd be a fun tournament if it did exist!

I've always loved the concept of a 1 fish tournament. For bream this would be fun. Say a 1 hour time, biggest fish wins. Short, sweet, easy to judge! smile lol...

Other than the one between me and my grandson, I hope not!
Fished all the "T"s I wanted to earlier in life.

I think a tournament with gag prizes would be fun. Donate entry fees to a charity and just fish with a bunch of other sunfish enthusiasts all day.

We used to have one every month. It was posted in this section and was open to all anglers. It was also free. The tournaments lasted for two years and were completed with no problems at all. Every one was a super sport. There were also a lot of prizes given away each month including a grand prize at the end of the year for the Angler of the Year Award ! There was one major sponsor along with a couple of other sponsors who took care of all the gifts. Due to issues beyond our control (Liability issues) the contest were no longer conducted. Any way they were fun while they lasted. I was the coordinator. Kind of glad myself that they are over however if run right I think they are a good thing especially if kids can get involved and have fun. Just my two cents. 2cents

Banker those were fun tournaments. I was thinking more along the lines of a dedicated location for all to gather though. Maybe do a big fish fry too.

Yes, surprised me greatly. Great turnout. Poor fishing that day. Really good time. Should have another one soon.

I agree, but better buy the fillets at HEB if it's at Boerne Lake.

Side Note: The only way to fish that lake is by boat(non motor) or yak. juggle

We had a boat, then caught fish near the boat ramp after I gave up. That lake can sure humble a guy.
