4/22/14 - Post spawn has kicked in but a lot of fish are staying shallow in the flooded brush. Flipping & pitching brush with Tx rig brush hogs, senkos, and several type plastics are producing numbers. We boated 21 fish today up to 7.5lbs and had another 8 to 10 fish jump off. Ive watched a boat load of smaller bass jump out of the water and eat the blue dragonflies that are buzzing everywhere but unfortunately Ive yet to find the right topwater. We also watched an injured Tilapia get blown 2 feet high then eaten by a giant bass.. Better quality fish are being caught deeper (and close to deep water) on ledges, rock piles, and foundations with deep diving crankbaits and/or heavy jigs. The lake is approx 25ft low and the water temp is approx 75 degrees. Photos on www.falconbass.com
