Due to shoulder injury I haven't been able use my Nitro since about last Sept. My problem is primer bulb won't pump up and engine won't start. The primer bulb never has seemed to pump full. And there have been gas fumes coming from the rod lockers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not good. Get it to a shop.

Check the fuel line. My Dads back flow preventer ( not sure of the nomenclature) cracked on his Merc. 2012 motor.....he had fuel in his bilge from the leak. Maybe all the Mercs use the same lines, etc.??

Thanks. Will do on both. I know that some new mercurys came with a bad fuel line that needed to be replaced. The bad one was a different color than the new one. The tech. at Tracker boats told me which color was bad but she did not seem quite sure about it. Thanks

You smell fuel from the rod box`s. You have a fuel supply line leak. The leak will not let the pump produce enough fuel pressure for the injection.

Change fuel lines, the new ethanol (moonshine) eats hoses especially those that are not designed for it. I replaced all my hoses on my Opti the first chance I got and the bulb now pumps great where as before it didn't
