Thank you for what you did!!! There is nothing worse than a poacher!!!! He had balls doing that in front of others. I have the number in my phone and i will not hesitate to call. Not even for a second! I have confronted people a couple of times and told them what the law is. And ofcourse the played dumb.. BUT they threw the fish back! Thanks again for helping protect our precious resources.

I was curious how responsive the GW would be after my initial phone call..I was impressed as the GW called within 10mins and she said she was across county but gave my #to another GW and he called in 5mins and said he was on way..20mins later..BUSTED!

Thank you for protecting our natural resources.
I have to say that Texas has the best GW's in the business. Last year, I caught 2 men trespassing on my turkey lease and called TPWD. The GW was there in no time. The culprits climbed back over the fence and there was no way that GW was going to catch them, so he called another one and he stopped them as they were coming out of the gate on their property. Of course, they denied ever being across the fence. The GW testimony and my video was proof enough. BUSTED...and it cost them dearly.

Thanks again,

Gman

OGT is good but if you fish or hunt a particular area on a regular basis you can put the Game Warden's direct number in your phone. You can look them up by county here...

Why would he seize their poles if they were not involved in the commission of a crime? I guess maybe he seized them in conjunction with folks not having a liscense maybe?

Good on you for doing the right thing. I wish there were twice the number of Wardens out there patrolling

It's a shame the GW did not seize the vehicle they used to get there. Seizing fishing rods will have little impact on thieves or those who see it done. Seizing cars and boats will get everybody's attention.

Same thing with giving tickets instead of arresting person involved. People ignore tickets but seeing somebody arrested makes an impression on them.
