I have fished this lake for years and never have caught a small mouth there. I got to be the net man on these. Over two days I would say we had some of the best fishing I've seen in a long time. It was a blast! The best part of it is when you realize that your son has developed into a great fisherman and sit back and watch it the magic happen. That's an awesome Easter weekend right there!!

We were out there too! Caught 8.5 and a few around 3-4 and some smaller fish and 3 small mouth on jerkbaits. Limited on whites as well, was a good weekend of fishing out on ivie.

I made the trip this weekend as well.
Had a really good relaxing weekend and fished Fri/Sat. Caught a 9-11 on Saturday and several other decent fish. Lake is surprisingly healthy shape for it being so LOW!

Is the spawn almost over? Is it getting hard to launch yet? Most of what I saw tells me yes. Ivie isn't a lake you can really bed fish on anyways, or at least ive never been able to see fish bedded up there. Launching isn't bad yet.... The ramp is very flat, so be prepaired to either get wet or do the ninja wall truck clime to get to the boat. Or just have a partner

Bucks we caught I think are guarding fry and females where just out to eat something after all their work.

Ivie was good to me too. I caught a 8 and my partner caught a 7. I fished areas that I have never fished before. No other bites to speak of. All crank bait bites. I think that spawn has a some left to do. There will be a second wave of them that will come. I have caught them in late May before with bleeding tails and big stomachs.
